DGP-CZ-2A Semi-automatic 2 head Weight Filling Machine

1) It is PLC + HMI controlled, with quick & slow filling mode, and when filling begin, the quick filling valve is on, and start to fill, and when it reached setting

2) volume for quick filling, the slow filling mode will begin to work until it reached to the set volume for slow filling.

3) With each filling nozzle controlled by weighing sensor and its feeding system, can make fine adjustment on filling volume of each filling nozzle.

4) The filling nozzle can dive into containers when filling is on, and then ascend to bottle mouth when filling is over.

5) )Automatic drip collecting tray will be actuated after filling is over.


Core Function and Principle

The weight filling machine's primary function is to dispense a pre-set target weight of product into containers (bottles, pouches, jars, etc.). It operates on the Gross Weight Filling principle. This means the container is placed on a scale, and the product is filled directly into it. The scale continuously monitors the weight during the filling process, ensuring high accuracy by accounting for the container's own weight (tare).



Key Components

A standard weight filling machine consists of the following main components:

• Stainless Steel Structure: The main frame is typically made of food-grade 304 or 316 stainless steel, ensuring hygiene, durability, and corrosion resistance.

• Product Hopper: A large, conical-shaped storage tank that holds a bulk supply of the product to be filled. It often includes an agitator to prevent bridging or clogging of powdered materials.

• Two Filling Heads: These are the core dispensing units. Each head consists of:

◦ Auger Filler: A rotating screw (auger) inside a sleeve. Each rotation of the auger dispenses a precise volume of product. The auger is driven by a servo or stepper motor for precise control.

◦ Load Cell: A high-precision weighing sensor located under each filling head. It constantly measures the weight of the container and product during filling.

• Control System: The brain of the weight filling machine. It features a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and a Touch Screen HMI (Human-Machine Interface). Operators use the HMI to set target weight, filling parameters, and start/stop the machine.

• Conveying System (Semi-Auto): A short, indexed conveyor or a rotary table that moves two containers into position under the filling heads simultaneously. The indexing is automatic, but container loading/unloading is manual.

• Safety Guards: Transparent covers or interlocked safety doors to protect operators from moving parts.

The dual-head design offers a significant productivity boost:

  • Double the Output: Two containers are filled at the same time, effectively doubling the output compared to a single-head machine.

  • Efficiency: Weight filling machine ideal for production lines where the filling speed is the bottleneck.
